Harmonizing on the wings of the horizon stretching to the temples of Vietnam, the Coliseum in Rome and landmark architecture in Hong Kong and India originates the largest stringed instrument on the planet. Orchestrated by installation artist and musician, William Close. Inspired by the quote “architecture is frozen music”, Close is also the Founder and Artistic Director of MASS Ensemble. MASS is the acronym for music architecture sound and sculpture. Close creates musical installations that use the architecture as part of the instrument. He has developed two Symphonic houses working with architects to build the musical instruments into the architecture.
