There are some big names on the guest list, which is to be expected for a wedding of this caliber. Among others, Serena Williams, the Spice Girls, Sir Elton John, Priyanka Chopra, as well as some of Harry’s ex girlfriends Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas. The first song will be played by the fantastic Ed Sheeran, whom Prince Harry personally requested to perform. Out of over 2500 members of the public invited to the wedding, nearly half will consist of strong young people who’ve helped their communities through leadership skills and compassion.

While there are no official confirmations, all clues point to the dress being designed by the amazing Ralph & Russo. There has been what is believed to be a sneak preview of the dress on their Instagram story: a hand stitched dress covered in beads. It’s quite clear that Markle is careful not to outshine the previous royal bride, but also not to copy. Her dress will probably look much different from the iconic Kate Middleton gown, but it will no doubt be just as beautiful and nearly as expensive.

Since the overall look of the bride is being kept secret, we have to look elsewhere for clues, one of which comes from the history books. With full access to the jewels in the royal collection, will Megan opt for the stunning tiara of Princess Diana? It is currently in the ownership of Earl Spencer, Diana’s brother, but there are speculations that he will loan it to Markle for the big day. As for her shoes, will she go for the simple pumps she usually likes to wear, or will she turn to something decorative like the stunning Badgley Mischka collection? We know that she is already wearing a couple of royal jewels on her engagement ring, but whether she’ll be adding any more bling to the outfit, we will have to see this weekend.

There have been many speculations about what the roles of the royal family will be, with the only confirmed one being that Prince William will be Prince Harry’s best man. But with so many whispers around Megan’s bridesmaid group, she blew everyone away announcing that the eldest in the lineup will be only seven years old. With her godchildren and her best friend, Jessica Mulroney’s, children by her side, Megan will most certainly have the cutest entourage in tow.

Being careful not to one-up Kate on her wedding day, Megan opted for a dress that will cost around £100,000, just a quarter of the Duchess’ bridal gown. The official statement clearly says that the royal family is paying for the entire wedding, which is expected to add up to just under $50 million. That is a big jump from the $34 million that was spent on the previous royal wedding, but a part of it is due to prices rising over the last seven years. Additionally, around three quarters of the budget will go into security for the wedding, since Prince Harry’s military background makes him a vulnerable target.

No matter which speculations turn out to be true, the wedding will most certainly be an event to remember. Make sure you join the countdown and tune in to see all the details and take notes for your own wedding.
