Valentine’s seems to be one of those times when you find individuals that love it, hate it or are indifferent. Although, from a female perspective any reason to wear those heels that are eventually going to give you crows feet in your elderly years is the perfect excuse. But no Valentine’s Day would be complete without, the Valentine, the look, the location and the music. So we here at DI-FORM have selected the soundtrack for your 2015 Valentine’s Day.

Pharrell Williams – Gust Of Wind

‘Gust Of Wind’ is the perfect opener to kick off our music playlist for this Valentine’s Day special. It is most definitely a contemporary love song and we all love us a bit of Pharrell these days. Music just does not seem complete without him. The great thing about Pharrell is that he knows how to keep things stylish, whilst giving us great love songs, appealing to both sexes and still keeping it fun, fruity and flirty, all the things we love about Valentine’s. And it is for these reasons ‘Gust of wind‘ is our first choice in this segment of our 2015 V-Day playlist.

Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do

Following our first selection is Ms Goulding with her soundtrack to the highly anticipated movie 50 Shades Of Grey. This love song has all the elements of an epic romance movies lead song and although 50 Shades Of Grey is anything but innocent young love, the innocence and purity that Ellie Goulding always conveys in her music makes it a great love song for an intimate affair with the more starry eyed young lovers.

Coldplay – A Sky Full Of Stars (Official video)

Next up are Coldplay and no V-Day playlist would be complete without at least one Coldplay song and we particularly loved this one as Chris Martin parades the streets as a one-man band with a team of adoring female fans behind him. It is great V-day song for a night out with just you and your partner where fun is still a major aspect of the evening.

Labrinth – Beneath Your Beautiful ft. Emeli Sandé

Truly deserving of all Labrith’s current success, particularly with his latest song ‘Jealous’. But for Valentine’s, ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ is the perfect song for wooing your partner in any romantic setting, be it with flowers, beneath the sunset or with a beautiful dinner at a lavish restaurant. Labrinth and Emeli Sandé truly bring to life any V-Day sentiment with this song.

Gorgon City – Imagination ft. Katy Menditta

More for the girl’s night out on the town for V-Day, where letting your hair down and shaking the stress off, with the awesome vocals from Katy Menditta, is mandatory. This is a track for the ones who are a little indifferent about V-Day but still want to go out and have a good time with friends. This is the song to get you amped up and ready for a great V-Day night whilst still being in the mood for maybe finding that Valentine’s.

Beyoncé – Crazy In Love (Fifty Shades of Grey REMIX)

Another one from the 50 Shades Of Grey Movie Soundtrack. The more dark and elusive remixed version of her number one hit single ‘Crazy In Love’ remade for the sadistically driven tale of two lovers. This versions intensity is very befitting for the movie and brilliant for those who find themselves more on the cusp of romance or have a more edgy (for want of a better word) outlook on romance.

Kings Of Leon – Sex on Fire

Even though Kings Of Leon are a brilliant band and had been for many years before this song was released, it seems like the only song anyone seems to ever remember from this band, but with a statement like “You’re Sex Is On Fire” there’s nothing really left to say after that, and you can be sure you will definitely make for a memorable date, so we had to add Kings Of Leon to this segment of our V-Day music playlist.

For The Lovers Of The Old

Hello! – Lionel Richie

It just had to be done! This song is the quintessential love song of all time. Not only did it sell millions of copies in its prime, but also parody after parody was created as a direct result of this song. ‘Hello!’ definitely gives the romantics hope that chivalry was not massacred at gunpoint over the years. So of course for this segment of music lovers, Valentine’s Day would not be completed without this classic.

I Will Always Love You – Whitney Huston

Who could forget the talented and beloved Whitney Huston and no matter the dramas that befell in her life the singer left us with love song after love song in her wake and who could forget the hit single from the movie soundtrack ‘Bodyguard’, that gave us that remarkable belter ‘I will always love you’. This song is sure to get any chick-flick fan teary eyed and over ambitious on Valentines Day.

I Don’t Wanna To Miss A Thing – Aerosmith

No one could deny our love for the movie Armageddon with one of the most ultimate V-Day love songs of all time, where you did not need to have any intonation or vocal training where singing is concerned to convey the same emotions as in this song. And if done with extreme and calculated caution this song will make anyone woman putty in any mans hands. So for our final V-Day selection is Aerosmith’s amazing single ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing’.
