Continuing the momentum of this season SS19 London Fashion week for Fashion Scouts hosted a delectable set of inspired, innovative collections, presented at London Fashion Weeks Day 3.

Each season the Ones To Watch showcase continues to present, the brightest, imaginative, neoteric emerging designers. Designers that we may often later see producing for some of the largest high-end fashion houses or some of the established high street brands and/or going on to creating their own labels, that we can muse over as we readily induce our daily dose of fashion content.

The judging panel of industry leaders and professionals, Hattie Crisel, Martyn Roberts, Ida Peterson and Joe Toronko, had the incredible task of selecting, from the gruelling list of the unlimited talent of forerunners, the three that would have the opportunity to headline SS19 runway. This season saw the winners being AuCARRE, Price On Request and NOUS ETUDION. Giving us their award winning full collection, presented for the first time, to the international fashion industry.

Twins Eirini and Dimitra, twins of Greek descent, are the founders of the label AuCARRE SKALIDAKI. After their initial discipline (a Science-based discipline), their education would later lead them to graduate with a BA in Fashion Design at Central St Martins.

After successfully assisting working with brands such as Gucci and Chanel, the siblings whose collections would later receive honour by the LVMH, then went on to receive an award by Universal Pictures for ‘Design, Development, and Texture.

Their SS19 collection inspired by both femininity and surrealism allowed for the collection to encapsulate a vivid imagination that is only comparable to designs that brought to life films such as Pan’s Labyrinth. The cinematic appeal to this collection, allowed for you to follow the design dreamlike state whilst still encompassing all that is loved in emerging designs, removing you from a constructed view to something more deconstructed and imaginative, a collection that with each design every silhouette had its individual (almost derivative in its form of a fantasy feature) narrative.

Price on Request 4_4

Gala Marija Vrbanic is the founder of the award-winning multi-gendered brand Price On Request, a brand that utilises the name from a business model of that of an auction house, or auction site. A price that begins at one end of the spectrum and on its first unveil and increases as each bidder believes and eventually invests in its value.

A brand based in Croatia with international success, Price On Request, won the 2017 ELLE Style Award Croatia and the Fashion Scout South East Europe 2018 award. Continuing to gain recognition for its signature oversized silhouettes.

This seasons SS19 collection is an ode to her mothers brand that has been in operation for 30 years. Taking inspiration from her mothers brand Xenia, showcases an SS19 collection with three distinct phases that embody function in its first phase, change in its second phase and embellishment and print in the final stage. But at its core to improve functionality within each garment.

Bringing the aspirational Ones To Watch show to a close was the design label NOUS ETUDIONS. Led by founder Romina Cardillo. The Argentinian designer created the label in 2014 after being the former founder of a menswear brand, the first Greenpeace menswear label of its kind in Argentina.

Being featured in Vogue Italia with their Next Green Talent alongside being featured in ID-Vice. NOUS ETUDIONS philosophy is focused on sustainability, veganism and non-gender traditions.

NOUS ETUDIONS SS19 accentuated bold fixed colour. Interwoven with the vision of a nomad questioning himself, the brand sought to bring a narrative to its SS19 collection through striking pastel shades, bold yellow, green, blue, and definitive, experimental shapes and textures with oversized prominent silhouettes. And although this last collection would close the show, its experimental techniques left a memorable impression.
