…Raw energy and flawless stage presence’

The Brit School graduate, Natalie Shay is the young award winning British and London based emerging Indie Folk pop singer-songwriter, whose raw energy and flawless stage presence has created much of the reason behind why those who do follow her are as enthusiastic as they are about both her as an artist and equally her music.

…Natalie Shay by far on any stage becomes the competition

Upon leaving The Brit School Natalie Shay embarked upon her solo career and has thus far supported acts such as Soul II Soul, Hudson Taylor and JP Cooper, alongside receiving the London Music Award in 2014.

After having had the opportunity to see this artist a few times live – one in a venue with more scale and the other as a supporting act on tour in a very quaint, very British, intimate venue in The Green Note Camden – one can only report that the level of quality in showmanship increased each time Natalie Shay performed. Considering the fact that the fundamental tools of her entire format are her voice, a guitar and a live looping station, Natalie Shay by far on any stage becomes the competition, setting the bar high enough, that you can already see stars begin to emerge.

For a British artist with indie pop influences from Haim to Little Comets with a voice that can be compared to Angel Olsen but with that slight 90’s Alanis Morissette twang, Natalie Shay still has the Nashville appeal. And although there are many YouTube videos of her performances they just do not do the solo artist enough justice. Once you have the opportunity to go to her shows you will understand where, as a music lover, the enthusiasm stems from when it comes. to Natalie Shay. A career which may promise to be an extraordinary one.
